C.I. 11860 - Introduction
Solvent yellow 12 is an organic dye, chemical name is sunset yellow, commonly used as a solvent-based dye. Its properties are as follows:
Appearance: Deep yellow to orange-yellow crystalline powder;
melting point: 95-97 ℃;
Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols, ketones, ethers, etc., insoluble in water.
Solvent yellow 12 is mainly used for dye pigments and plastic dyes. It can be used in dyeing textiles, coatings, printing and inks, giving them bright colors.
there are two general methods of Solvent yellow 12:
1. by 1-methyl pyrrolidone and amino benzoic acid methylene reaction.
2. it is obtained by reacting p-thiocarbonic acid chloride with 1-methyl pyrrolidone and then reacting with methylene p-aminobenzoate.
When using the Solvent yellow 12, you need to pay attention to some safety information:
1. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical help.
2. avoid inhaling its dust or gas. If discomfort occurs after inhalation, you should quickly move to a well-ventilated place and seek medical help.
3. when storing and handling Solvent yellow 12, the relevant dangerous goods handling regulations should be observed to ensure safety.
